Dave Tyra lives in the mountains of Southwest New Mexico with his wife of forty-two years, Lori. After working in the construction industry for thirty years, David returned to school and earned a BA in History with an emphasis in Genocide, and Communication Studies with an emphasis in Intercultural Communication. With entirely too much time on his hands and the love of a good zombie story, Dave began surfing the web and discovered the extensive network of Zombie centered web sites and fiction. Noticing that much of the on-line zombie fiction seemed written for a younger audience he wrote his own book, "Behind a Veil of Darkness", for a more mature audience. His unique perspective as a historian and intercultural communicationist allows him to present a story which is both realistic in action and scope.
